Rear License Plate Light Housing

Hello Guys and Gals,

Can you all tell me where I can buy a new Rear License Plate Light Housing for my 04' Mini? I scanned Fleasbay and on the forums, but nothing jumping out so far.

Thanks,

--Jay

Dependent on your options and version. The housing is rear handle.

"Chrome" version.

"Primed" Version: ( for painted rear trunk grips )

"Black" Version: ( for basic or black rear trunk grips )

Trunk Lid Grip - JCW Carbon Fiber

Lens pops out and the terminals corrode that holds the bulb. Its an all in one unit and install with four screws and plugs into the harness .

It you need just the lens : one is for each side.

Thanks

Here is the whole assembly or you could get just the bulb covers if that's what you need

Yeah, I replaced the lenses 2 years ago along with the light bulbs. Now, the metal contacts that holds the bulbs has broken off as I was trying to replace the light bulb )-:

It got so corroded - I guess, this is what I get for living in Minnesota (-:

Thanks guys!!

Tip:

When you replace everything this time, get some led bulbs (for longevity and cooler operating temps) and silicone the lenses on, all the way around. This will greatly increase the life of everything by cutting down the grit & moisture.

That's ok as long as your wiring is still good, you could also just but some pre-wired led's (ready for 12v) and solder the leads appropriately & seal it back up.

I had to replace the whole thing simply because mine had accually corroded the wiring to the sockets clean through.
