So I picked up some BBS's

I got a good deal on a set of BBS RK II 2 piece wheels for the mini from over on the 4x100 forum on VWVortex for 750 shipped. They were in good condition but I had to make them mine.So I figured I would share them and their progress since I was unable to find pictures of them on a MINI. They're 17x7.5 et35 and I had them mounted up but they are off again and the work in progress has begun. Hopefully the centers will be back from powder coating this week so I can get them finished and back together again by the weekend. Let me know opinions...

When they came in...I had to do a test fit

Then get them mounted

After a week or so I decided they needed some love and this began

Then me and some buds decided a BBQ and wheel party was in order

and now here they sit waiting for centers...wet sanded to 1000 grit and polished up!!!

More to come....

I see you are still running the Coopers. Thanks for your thoughts on them. I'm looking forward to getting mine.

They look good... be careful with the powder coating.... there is very mixed reviews on doing this with BBS wheels (and other alloy wheels..)'.

I love RXIIs.. They look great.

Well it has been a while...my powder coater had issues getting the color I wanted so I went for a change ti get them back. Of course they came apart way too easy so when i went to put them together i snapped a titanium bolt, and i am now waiting on a new set from blackforestindustries who only had 52 in stock when i need 80 :( I am so ready to have these together and installed now...but it will be worth it in the end.
