R60 Dumb Newb Question - European Plates
I think this is where I got mine. My bumper had these small pin holes for mounting a front plate. I just puched them through. I purchased the braket for the euro plate there and it works great. I get a alot of questions about it because people think it is real.
I've ordered European plates from that exact website back in 2004 for my R50 and used the black plastic frame that's also available on their site. The holes fit the front of the R50 perfectly but when I moved it to the R56, I had to punch new holes in the plastic mounting bracket and it still worked perfectly. Another thing I did with the curved front bumper was use outdoor/waterproof 3M Command double-sided tape to hold down the edges of the frame/plate to the contour of the front bumper for a cleaner look. Though I did flex the plate to curve it a bit for a better fit with less stress on the tape. It was a cinch to remove it when the lease was up.
If you're considering Euro plates - you need the plate AND a Euro plate frame. You don't drill the plate as the frame will have a variety of pre-drilled mounting holes in it already. One set of the holes in the frame will line up with the holes in the bumper.
Don't have holes already in your bumper (because you're post isn't real clear as to what you're looking for) - then I'd recommend velcro if you don't want to drill your bumper...
