so help me god that rear quarter door better be optional. and can we talk about the increase in front overhang? What happened to having the wheels pushed as close as possible to the corners of the car? My lease is up in 6 months; I considered extending it until next spring until the 2014's go on sale if I really liked the looks of them (since apparently it won't be revealed until this summer), but now I'm strongly considering sticking with the R platform and getting a 2013.
So if the Cooper does get the 1.5 three cylinder and with a turbo, then I can stop hearing the crap that some of these "Straight" or "Justa" owners talk how turbo's are so "unreliable". Really excited to see what the final product looks like and whether they give the MCS and JCW the 2.0L.

This is correct. From what I've heard, EU regulations are changing to require that the turn signal repeaters are in the mirrors instead of in the fenders. The newer BMWs have already changed. 5 lug wheels make sense, since parts such as brake rotors and wheels can be shared across the model range (Countryman and Paceman already have 5 lug wheels).
I wouldn't get too hopped up about the photos from Automotive.com; they look quite similar to older spy shots of the heavily-disguised F56. It's hard to tell from the distance/angle what's camoflauge and what's real.
The Autoexpress.co.uk photos, on the other hand, look to be much closer to what we can expect to see (I hope!) when the F56 is officially unveild in a few months.
