Buzzing, humming noise from Wastegate vane when turning off

Hi all,
So I've had this issue recently. When I turn my car off, no matter how long it's been running, it makes this buzzing/humming noise for a couple seconds. I took the intake box off and determined the noise is coming from the back side of the engine.

From reading other posts on other websites, it sounds like it could be a vane some how connected to the wastegate. Has anyone else ever had an issue like this? I don't have any check engine lights. I've noticed a slight lack of boost build up though. Hardly unnoticeable.

Here is a video I found of the exact noise issue I've got.

Thoughts about how to fix this? Has anyone had this fixed? Cost? Thank you!

Tim, have you gotten a response from anyone on this, were you able to fix? I'm suffering from same issue. If it's the wastegate, they i'm guessing it would require a whole turbo replacement. If it's the actuator, then that should be cheaper.

I actually never had it fixed. The car blew up on me when driving on i95 just cruising at about 70mph. An exhaust valve broke and I ended up just selling the car. I'm done with MINIs.

Good luck with your car. It is the kazoo sound that cerenkov speaks of. It shouldn't be too expensive of a repair if you fix it yourself. The valve breaking is completely un-related btw.
