Breyton Race GTS-R Mini 17"" on 2010 JCW

I want 17" Breyton Race GTS-R Mini wheels but Tire Rack only sells an 18" for the JCW. Is it due to the Brembos causing clearance issues? They do sell a 17" for the MCS.
If there is a clearance issue, can I add a spacer?

Okay, I figured out that I can use spacers...just what thickness? Has anyone had experience with the Breyton wheel in the 17" size on a JCW?

You need 5mm spacers.

Breyton Race GTS-R Mini wheels are available in 17x7 size with ET40 mm offset. The offset is close to stock 17x7 ET48 offset. The 8mm difference will push the outboard edge of the wheel+tire towards the fender of your Mini. Probably not enough to rub, but that would ultimately depend on the width of the tires you plan to install.

Normally, JCWs can run 17 wheels over Brembos just fine.
8mm lower wheel offset of the Breytons should give you the extra 8mm cushion over the brake calipers.

Looking at the pictures, Breyton GTS-R Mini spokes are attached right to the front of the barrel of the wheel. They is no obvious reason why they should not fit JCW.

I do believe TireRack has a return policy on wheels as well as tires. You can get one, test fit it, then either return or order the rest.

I'm curious why TireRack will only spec the 17" for the MCS and not the JCW. Any insights?

Breyton GTS-R Mini spokes are attached right to the front of the barrel of the wheel. They is no obvious reason why they should not fit JCW.
The shape and profile of the spokes varies from wheel to wheel. It is specific to each design.

That's great, Alex.

But do you have any data to suggest that Breyton GTS-R Mini wheels wont fit over JCW brakes?

I think what Alex is saying is that the 18" Breytons will fit over the JCW caliper because the profile of that wheel is different than the 17" version.

I have the exact clearances on file for both wheel and brake profile in this situation. A spacer is required for this application. If you search this topic you can see past fitment trials of other members. The Brembo calipers extend 2 mm into the spokes of the Breyton wheels. We suggest a minimum of 3 mm of clearance from calipers.
