Pressures on Falkens

I have a '03 Mini S that now has Falken (non RF) ZIEX ZE-912 195/55/R16 87V tires. What are the best tire pressures? Thanks

36-38 psi IMO. What does your door jamb say?

Pressures

My wife is off with the Mini so I can't check just now. But, regardless, the door jamb pressures are for the original run-flats. I'm imagining that those were of a different category than the Falkens and so the recommended pressures would not apply. Agree?

Thanks.

I agree, but the door jamb info is a good place to start. I run 38 on my NON runflats.

Almost.

My '08 Mini manual recommends tire pressures between 33-38 (same front/back), depending on load (higher load -> higher recommended tire pressure). Same recommendation applies to regular and RFT tires.

On my MCS, pressures right below 32 psi trip the annoying TPMS warning lights. Mid/low 40 psi (44 in my case) is usually the maximum tire pressure printed on your sidewall. So that is your operating range.

I usually pump my real tires (i.e.: non-run-flop) up to 35 psi cold for the street.
Then bleed the air out to ~36/38psi front/rear hot, on track, as needed.

YMMV,
