When did the dash/tach displays change?
I just traded a 2010 MCS for a 2013 Paceman All-4. One of the first things I noticed is how much seems to have been taken away from the dash display, particularly the two windows in the tach. I used to be able to have the option to display one of a number of different items in the square (the higher of the two), such as temp or time; now it will only show MPH. In the lower rectangular display, I used to be able to configure it to show combinations of three different values in it -- now there's only room for two, and only the upper one of those is changeable while the lower one is always the odometer. Granted it required an engineering degree to figure out how change what was displayed in those windows with just the combination of press and press-and-hold the button on the stalk, but I did eventually get it set up to display exactly what I wanted and where I wanted it. Anybody know when and/or why they decided to dumb it down?
OP, I know exactly what you mean. I also moved from a 2010 (R57S) to a 2013 (R60S). Strange not being able to have the trip meter always next to the odometer.
I read somewhere in the R60 forums that someone noticed the change after the dealer applied a new software update. I first noticed the change when I had a loaner 2012 R60S last year.

Ok, a few posts down in this thread chrunk points out that it changed in 2011. 2010 was the last year that it was mega-configurable. How could they.
