Replace Dunlop RF with ContiSportContact 3 SSR

I have been running on the Dunlop runflats since I purchased the car in 2007. I really like the concept of the run flats, and don't mind the slightly harsher ride.

Instead of buying more Dunlops, I am looking at ContiSportContact 3 SSR. Any have feedback on these?

I'm running them on my car right now, and they're good. They seem to be a good compromise between sportiness, comfort and affordability. I find them quiet and comfortable. Actually, coming from the runflats, they'll seem luxurious!

I just took off a set that came on the car from the factory. They are probably the quietest of any R/F that you can buy, but I switched to Continential DWS and the ride and noise are greatly improved. I'll never go back to R/F's again. I just carry a small compressor and some tire plugs if I get a flat.

I went to townfair tire here in MA, and the manager of the store would not allow me to buy the DWS for my daughter's Mercedes, unless I signed an agreement that their test drive policy is not available for those tires. He mentioned that before they started doing that, over 50% of all the DWS they sold, came back. Something about road noise and vibration. So I bought some
Potenza RE970AS Pole Positions. Totally changed the ride of the car.

I hadn't heard of any issues with the DWS's. I have only 1,000 miles on mine but I really like them and I can't believe how much quieter the car is now. No roar on rough pavement and you hardly notice tar strips and train tracks. Potenza RE970's were my second choice, but I liked the tread design of the DWS's better.
