Is anyone aware of changes in service intervals for the 2013 Cooper S models? I know it's all computer based but mine seems to be approaching strangely earlier.
My 2013 Cooper S roadster is 8 months old and is due it's first service in 3,000 miles (13,000) - it's not driven overly hard and does long journeys. My 2007 Cooper S did track days every weekend and was first serviced at 25,000

They've changed the service intervals in the last year or so. When I bought my car, it showed 15K (or more?) miles to the first service. After that first one (12 months, 10K miles) it showed either 10K or 8K for the next service.
I'm pretty sure that was part of the programming they did during the service.

My non s coupe just went in for its first scheduled oil Change at 19,000 miles! I've changed it twice previously without resetting computer. 19,000 miles before first oil change? Really?

AND you tracked it every weekend? Was that all in less than a year?

Have a 2013 MCSa and my interval is 10,000… still to long for a high rev turbo 4 cyl, turbos eat oil! Changed mine at 1200 for break in and again at 5000. Just had my first warranty change. I will do one at 15000 and alternate with the factory changes! Inexpensive peace of mind!
Mine just came up at 8,500. It's scheduled to go in next week. I did mine myself at 4k and then now at 8,500. I'll do it again on my own in another 5k (so 13,500) and then take it in for it's scheduled which should be due somewhere around 17,000-18,000
MINI did change the interval about a year ago. Based on your description, my guess is your 2013 started out at the base of 10,000 and has adjusted upward to 13,000 due to the easy life it is living.
It's almost like mini wants your motor to blow after 50,000 miles. I questioned in my head why we only have 50,000 miles total coverage when it seems all other manufacturers have a lot longer powertrain warrantys but i loved the car too much to stop me. I put approx 22,000 miles a year on my cars and im at 22,000 now after one year so im crossing my fingers!!!!

the window sticker on my 03/2012 build cms all4 said "10k oil changes" but the OBC was set to 9K from the factory ... it zeroed out at 7,800 miles and the dealer changed oil/filter then set the OBC to 8k miles til next change
i did my own change at ~1400, ~4200 and just did another at 11.5K (4k to go til the OBC zeros out again)
the OBC is not completely mileage based, it also uses number of cold starts and gallons of fuel consumed ... drive hard and it counts down faster
in any case, if you have an S, 5k is the max i would consider for oil life
