[SIZE=3][FONT=Times New Roman]Hello mini cooper lovers! This is first time posting so please be easy on me. I am stationed in Japan and I recently purchase JP version of 07 MCS. Yesterday, I installed aftermarket VIP cold air kit for R56 with K&N high flow air filter. As I was installing my kit, I’ve noticed MAF was not there. Now, my understanding is all mini coopers should have MAF unit. Does anyone know if JP version has sensor located somewhere else? I did manage to install the kit without MAF using additional tube. Mini runs good before and after installing air flow kit! [/FONT][/SIZE]

 

No, not all MINI's have a MAF sensor. US-spec MINI's do. However, Euro-spec MINI's do not. Don't be alarmed....your MINI will run just fine!
