turn it to a challenge mini

I have an R56S, since 2008 and i think its time to make it look like a mini challenge, but not only as far as looks is concerned but also implement changes under the bonnet too!
But im not a technician, i have absolutely no idea what changes are made inside? Can some one notify me plz?

You'll want to start by transplanting a JCW engine/ECU.

Im mostly interested regarding engine and suspension. Where can i find the exact detailed changes?
How much BHP is the challenge upgraded to?
Also, are the engine parts forged?

JCW Challenge cars are factory JCW models. They really don't do anything crazy powertrain wise except aftermarket LSDs like from OS Giken or Quaiffe and a catless exhaust. Besides the driver being what gives the Challenge cars speed, most of the modifications are done to the suspension setup and of course very sticky race tires. If you're going to try and chase the Challenge bandwagon, under the bonnet is not the way to go.

Here's the press release with information about the Challenge car: http://www.motoringfile.com/2007/08/...jcw-challenge/

Something to keep in mind is that the Challenge cars were created around 2007-2008, shortly after the R56 was first introduced. The factory JCW R56 wasn't even available until 2009.

Many thanx my friend for posting this
Really why do you mention the fact that the factory JCW R56 wasn't available then?

I mentioned it because some people claimed that the Challenge engine is the "JCW engine", but it didn't exist yet. So the Challenge engine is basically the stock engine with some modifications (mild modifications, if you look at the power and acceleration specs).

The point about the Challenge race series is that there is a field of cars that are prepared identically, and the race is a test of driving ability. It was not designed to race against other brands and models, so boosting power was not a major goal.
