Our oil cooler kit works great for the automatic cars. One of the development cars for the the R56 kit was an automatic. You can order it here http://www.sneed4speed.com/mini-oil-...y-sneed4speed/

Based on the photos, I'm guessing this would not work with the TyrolSport FMIC:

Yea I guess an oil cooler kit won't work if you have an after market FMIC

Sneed Team!

Have any of your track addicted R56 pals installed your oil cooler kit with a FMIC? It looks like the best place to install is in front of the radiator above the crash tube with a lot of shaving involved. Any pics?

You can move the oil cooler radiator up to clear the front mount. This makes install a little harder because of more bumper support cutting and upper grill mounting. I'm sorry but we don't have any pics right now. You can also install the oil cooler in front of the FMIC but you have to trim the bumper cover and make a new grill. I hope to have a better FMIC oil cooler solution soon because the cooler doesn't get as much air flow when you move it up above the FMIC.

Thanks Chris. I look forward to a fix/change/solution and will more than likely pony up some ducats for it.

Our R56 oil cooler kit now fits MINIs with FMICs. We updated the kit to work with FMICs and non FMIC cars. http://www.sneed4speed.com/mini-oil-...y-sneed4speed/
We also made an install video
