R60 with Connect no NAV. Voice commands seem to work OK BUT ... wife and I both have Droid 3 phones. It seems that if one of us drives with phone ... the phonebook is OK. Then if the other is driving alone with different phone ... the phonebook of phone only gets phone numbers into Mini -- NO NAMES ... and then SOMETIMES after what seems a really long time the names do appear in the phonebook. This is really irritating ... why numbers with no names?

 

Welcome to BMW electronics. I can't really help, but did not want your post to die with no response. Only thing I can suggest is that you both use your own set of keys/fobs. MINI remembers and stores individual settings with the fob. If your wife is driving with her phone and your fob, you're just going to confuse the heck out of your MINI.

FWIW, this has not been a problem with non connected and 2 iPhone 4S's.
Not sure it's due to the different phones or lack of connected.
The only funky behavior was assigning primary and secondary phone hierarchy. It did not take the first time, but we resolved it by removing a phone from list and adding it back on. It could have been user error as I have a bad habit of not paying close attention to prompts
