I got a 2003 mini cooper. When I shift it to neutral, and push down the clutch, the engine sounds like stranger. The sound is normal if the clutch is not pushed down.
Is there anyone who got the same experience?
Or is it a big deal?

 

If it sounds like chewbacca groaning? If it does its because the flywheel is a dual mass flywheel, and the weights may be sticking therefor it can make a funny noise usually the flywheel sound can be ignored until you need a clutch. FYI a dual mass flywheel cannot be resurfaced. It will need to be replaced with a new one or a conventional flywheel. IF you go with the conventional one just be prepared for a little more noise and vibration.

 

Sounds opposite of Chewbacca noise tho.....
