Anyone else STILL "At Port Awaiting Transport" for TORINO?

Tomorrow will be 8wks since i put down my order deposit. My JCW-CM has been sitting at the port for about 9 days!! I swear i call that 866-MINI hotline at least 5 times a day hoping to hear a different update! Anyone monitoring the incoming calls over there must think im psychotic.
After much googling for shipping vessel schedules, i believe i've found my MINI's ship! Thanks to the dbh.de website, i think my hoopty should be loaded onto the TORINO on 04/09/13 at Bremerhaven and arriving at port Hueneme (west coast delivery) on 05/01/13. Add another 7 days for customs and quality assurance and my stinking wait (of 12 weeks and 1 day!!) should finally be over!

Of course this all depends on the car getting on the TORINO tomorrow...otherwise i will need to be admitted for 5150.

I am nearly 3 weeks from order and still waiting on a VIN. How long did it take to get your production date.

Hope you make this ship. I was in Seattle when I got my Clubman and still have pictures of the ship passing through the locks on the Panama Canal.

I got my production number & VIN about 5 days after I ordered my JCW on 2/1. Lucky for me, my car made it to the dealer last week & I'm taking delivery as soon as I get off the plane from my trip. 9 weeks total from order to delivery.

Thanks.
It took me almost 6 wks before i got a VIN! 5th week the car went into production and when it was done at the factory, i got the VIN. My MA told me around wk 3 the estimated production week would be approx march 18th. He was right. It started march 15 and production was complete on march 22.
From what i understand, everyone's situation is different. Depending on the dealership you used. If they hadnt already used up all of their "allocated slots" for JCW-CMs then your MINI could start sooner than someone (like me) who apparently put the order in when the allocated slots were all full. Therefore my MINI had to wait for the next production cycle. Thats the simplified version/explanation from the different threads ive read here on NAM.

ive been duped. That one is heading OUT of Gatun. Looked just like the Torino. But I watched it descend to match sea level and start to leave. False alarm...

From the panal canal, it took Auriga Leader 5-6 days to reach Port Hueneme. Once it leaves the canal, you will be in darkness till it gets closer to Mexico.

Latest ship schedule says 3 May so they lost some time. I'd guess the 9th

I'm just wondering how you guys are tracking your Mini's? I placed my order about 3 weeks ago. At the tim we ordered, we were told the build date would be 4/24 or 26 ( I can't remember). The dealer said it would be a week to build and then ship out in early May, arrive in US in early June and be to delivered to me around June 13.

I've not had any communication from the dealer or Mini since then, so just wondering.

Check this thread. It's a little outdated but it's a good starting point. Note that Countryman and possibly others are shipped out of Bremerhaven in Germany.

Correct, the bulk of that list is still valid. You just have to keep in mind Bremerhaven is the source for the R60, and use that to inform your search when looking at the ship schedules.

In my case, there were three ships scheduled to leave int he days following my car being at port, some to the west coast and some with east coast stopovers first. In the end, my car didn't take any of those, but a west coast ship to follow, some three weeks later.

Port Hueneme is now showing a May 4th arrival... so they caught up a bit...

Well, the Torino is arriving. Unless those Pacific Rim Kaijus attack, the port itself isn't going anywhere...
