Service life, Clubman S spark plugs.

What is everyone experiencing as far as the life of your spark plugs? When did you replace yours?

I just replaced mine on my 07 MCS @ 33k. They did not look bad at all, and I think the factory spec is 40k. So use your own judgment. I spent $62 on plugs and $17 on the socket from WMW. Took 45 min, DO NOT pay a dealer $250+ to do this service!

Plus for an "S" are 60K mile items, the JCW is 30K. (not that changing them early is a bad thing...)

Yeah, the reason I ask is that I have noticed a slight 'stutter' at cerrtain acceleration points. I had my oil changed at the dealership (yeah I know.... Im lazy) and there were no codes. I had a VW 1.8 turbo that would eat them up about every 30,000 miles and was just wondering if ours were the same way. .

That could be a bad coil or an intermittent failing coil due to damaged boot that may have or has gone unnoticed. I've seen this many times, vehicle will idle fine and even @ low rpm/cruise be ok but @ load or @ 70% throttle @ specific RPM's vehicle will experience random break up or "stutter" as you put it.
