Swift Spec-R Koni Sport Ride Height - Pics Inside

So I Got my Swift Spec-R's installed with Koni Yellows and Alta rear lower control arms and Alta 19mm rear sway bar. Ride is great. After initial install the front was lowered a lot(about the inch as described) but the rears barely lowered(maybe half an inch). So I thought It needs to break in and settle. So after 1000 miles(did a road trip) they did settle a little better but it still has rake that I don't like.

Anyone have any suggestions on why it lowered the fronts more than the rears? I had the suspension installed at a shop. Can the sway bar have been installed incorrectly?

Can anyone else share their Swift pics

It looks like your parked on a driveway, And im sure your parking brake is pulled.
that can effect your ride height appearance.
Try a parking-lot thats flat.
Its possible they put the rear top mounts in up side down or something along those lines.
I installed a set on a car and i had no such trouble with rear ride height.
however that being said positive rake like that helps handling.

I've an '03 MCS with the same set-up but with adj.camber plates. Didn't get the 1" drop in front more like 3/4" and car sits level. I've been informed that these springs don't settle, so, what you see is what you'll get.
Maybe contact Swift directly and see what they suggest. I'm also very pleased with the overall handling and comfort of my set=up.

It's like that even on even ground. Does installing the upper mounts backwards cause this? I don't want to tear down the suspension for nothing.

You are correct, these springs don't settle.

You guys are correct that these springs don't settle but rubber bushings do. Upper strut mounts / spring isolaters etc.

Does my rake look too extreme? Should I take my suspension apart for inspection?

Mine on Swifts. Mind you, it's are R53, but it'll give you an idea. In this picture the parking brake is off.

I'm running the same set-up with IE camber plates. With 215/45x17 tires, my fronts measure 24-3/4" to the wheel arch and 25-1/4" at the rear. 1/2" rake is normal and acceptable. Handling is everything I expected.

wow it seems like everyone with swifts seem to have a rake. Weird though as they advertise a 1" drop front and back. Overall im happy with the ride/handling.

btw, I installed a set of cravenspeed strut tower defenders over the weekend, and wow, the car takes potholes a lot better now. It doesnt jar the car like it used to. Definitely recommend them!

I just installed my new strut mounts and spec rs tonight. The rears were a piece of cake maybe 25 mins a side. The fronts right took 50 mins the front left took 2 hours it was my first one and it was stuck in the knuckle. So it was a pain.

But I would uave to say they feel amazing my wiggle in the steering wheel is g9ne from the new strut mounts. But the handling feels alot better. The only thing is on a 55mph back road it felt a little wavy. May hace been the road and the firmness but I felt like the front would lift then go down as the back came up just like a wave

You can feel the firmness but its not to bad. It feels more planted as well. I have stock shocks\struts and it is not a bad ride what so ever.
Also the drop is perfect not to much not to little it looks great. I will post pics tomorrow of the drop its dark here right now.

Did you leave the stock shocks and bump stops?
Honestly I have yet to feel my bump stops I dont know why people said cut them you can tell swift designed them with the factory stops in mind. Also with my oem struts\shocks tbey feel great the only time I notice they are a bit weak is going through a turn at light and theres alot of hard bumps it gets that left right bounce. But its only left to right during a sharp turn and hard bumps theres no front back rebound issues at all.

But congrats let us know how you like them me personally I still am in love with them the handling is amazing and it eliminated pretty much all the body roll. And they are not that rough its noticeably rougher but nothing to complain about or nothing to make it less enjoyable if anything its a more enjoyable roughness

didn't cut the bumpstops and kept the oem shocks. Its a daily driver (spirited driving) so didn't want it too stiff. Sean from TrackWorx said no need to cut bumpstops and springs work well with OEM shocks. So far so good.
