Sudden Big Miss,Traction Light and Blinking Service Soon Light

This on 2003 MCS @ 130k
Was driving steady speed at 70, engine does big dropout, runs as if "on limiter". Also blinking Service soon and steady lit Traction Control light whic will not go off with switch.
Cleared as I limped home, ran normal. On trial did same thing, fine after restart. No prior issues. Any Ideas??

See if there is a code logged in there... Do you have a scanner ? I keep my Bluetooth scanner connected all the time when driving for exactly this... Get the code real fast before it clears.

Sometimes without codes it will be hard to second guess what is wrong.

No code reader, car has been fault free for years.
Will go in to BMW/Mini shop on Monday for eval.
Thanks for input....???
BTW where the %%^$&(( is the search function on the forum??
