Countryman has been in the shop for almost two weeks

I sent it in for an oil change, clutch whining and the passenger seat warmer was tough to activate. Got a call a few days later that it was done, so I went to pick it up, and all of the lower buttons for Sport mode, fog lamps, etc did not work. U-turn and back to the dealership.

It's been there for a few days now. They say the car won't accept the programming for the new seat warmer module. They say it's been escalated all the way to BMW engineering to try and find a fix.

I had inquired about pricing for stripes being put on while it was there and he offered to comp them and do it for free, so they are taking care of me it sounds like. Just frustrating to be without my car for two weeks. I have a loaner but it's a crappy automatic cooper.

We bought a luggage box for the top while we were there last time. I'm thinking I might tell him to forget the stripes and just comp that. Who knows.

Anyone else ever heard of this? Programming for a seat warmer? It's a tad confusing. He says all of the modules go through the car's computer and has to be programmed if they are replaced.

Oh, and they replaced the clutch for me, as they found out it was "defective". When I picked it up for the 5 minutes I had it, the clutch had a completely different feel. Much lighter and smoother than it was before.

Can you look at your repair documents and see what the part number on the replacement clutch was?

These shop papers are hard to read. Could it be 218020?

I see Longlife 832511
then:
Parts 218020

In the middle it says 1 21-21-7-603-025 set at-clutch

I am going to call my dealership tomorrow to see if I can drop my 2011 CM All4 off on Saturday and pick her up the following weekend (as I live over 150 miles away). It's due for an oil change, but I am also experiencing slipping clutch and an oil leak. Hopefully I will have positive things to report back on this forum.

Took a month, but the car is (supposedly) ready now. They had to change out the A/C module for some reason. Apparently it has something to do with the bank of controls that wouldn't activate. Who knows.

They gave me a $300 credit to use towards whatever I want. Thought about stripes but they can't get red. Don't know what else I can even ask for. Thoughts?

Don't feel bad, my CM All4 was in service for Almost 6 weeks with an engine (rough idle) issue. They ended up calling in a BMW tech and replaced / rebuilt one of the cylinders. Still idles rough but not as bad.

I got a call this morning telling me that my 2011 CMS All4 is ready to be picked up (after being at the shop for 10 days). They had originally told me it would be 2-3 weeks as they were waiting on parts, but I guess the boat came in earlier than expected! Anyway, I am hoping for a "better" clutch feel and no more oil leaks!
