anyone running 195/45-17 on an 8 inch wide?

Basically, I have a set of NEU's sitting at home waiting for rubber. I can't decide if i want to run a 205/45 or a 195/45. I'm leaning towards the 195/45 because of the poke these wheels give. and my speedo should only be 3% off which is basically going 58 when my speedo says 60. no big deal. anyone have pics of run a similiar setup before?
pics for clicks

It will really depend on your choice of tire. Every tire has a different section width and tread width.

For example a 195/45 17 on Falken 912s is almost like a 185.

A 195/45 17 on Yokohama S-Drives doesnt have as big of a stretch as the Falkens.

You probably want to get a bit more negative camber too.
205/40/17 is also another tire size you can run.

You sure? Looks more like et25 then et35 in those pictures to me.

If they are in fact et35 you definitely don't need a 195. A 205 will be fine. Even at et25 a 205 should be fine.

I ran et30 NUE with 205/40 falken 452s for two years with 0 rubbing.

My setup for this season is 215/40/17 on an 8" et35 (not NUEs).

Why stretch and have the rim edge exposed?

I'm old enough to realize not everything in life should have reason. This is among those under the 'just because' category. No need to agree nor disagree.

Who knows I don't do stance. But if I had 8" rims I would be running 225s

I test fitted some 225/35/17s on my new 17x8 et35 wheels. They fit fine. I actually thought they looked great on the wheels too. Honestly the only thing that stopped me from running them is they have such a small overall diameter that I didn't think I was low enough to pull them off.
