3 weeks old and I have a leaking axle seal and a window issue. Update 3/24/2013

That's right NAM I just noticed two things wrong with my 3 week old MCS. I noticed that the bottom of the transmission has a damp look. So I crawled under there today to find the drivers side axle seal is weeping fluid. Second I noticed after using the drivers window more often lately the outside of the glass is rubbing on something inside the door. Enough to the point where I have two vertical scratches in the glass and its now ruined IMO

So I just emailed the dealer to schedule an appointment to have it looked at....how depressing.

Update 3/24/2013

So it looks like back to the dealer I go.

Car had 1,500 miles on it when the first repair was done, and now has 3,000 miles and one month later after the first fix the leak is back.

They'll get it fixed under warranty and you'll be good to go - don't let it sour your feelings.

Keep us posted as now one of the first things I will do when I get my new Mini is put it up on ramps so I can look under her to make sure all looks good. Was considering doing that about every month or so do to our roads here in Jacksonville, FL (0.5% tax just for roads and they are some of the worst in the country when compared to other major cities) now I may also be checking for warranty related issues. Hope it gets fixed back to 100% brand new as it was only 3 weeks ago.

So what.

You're under warranty and MINI will fix the problem.

Just the point, 30 grand for a vehicle and shouldn't have to deal with the aggravation

It sucks but I think I only see it. I drop off today for a loaner. Dealer is great to work with, service is friendly. I'm thankful for that.
