R56 Trouble fully closing hood (gap on left side)
Trouble fully closing hood (gap on left side)
Hi,
Newish owner of a 2010 pepper white Mini (non-S). A few times I have opened the hood for one reason or another and upon closing it, am having trouble with it not meeting the body fully.
If you are looking at the Mini from the front, when closing the hood with a decent amount of force, the right side seems to meet the frame very cleanly. But the left side has a small gap which you can see where the lip of the hood meets the frame and in terms of the space around the headlight.
Sometimes the hood does close fully and there is no gap on either side. But after a recent battery jump and closing the hood again the gap issue is happening again and I can't seem to figure out a trick to solve it. It is fairly cold here right now but I don't know if that is relevant.
Any ideas?
thanks!

Yes,
Try to adjust the little rubber buffers. They twist in and out.
Look like this: oem part number 51232756173

Number #14
Other then that you could check the the panels in the back near the battery to mark sure they are flush with the window and body. Battery panel on the left side of kit facing engine bay.

Thanks and I hope that helps.
