UPDATED!
Alright, I installed the new GP2 Diffuser today, and took a few pictures and have some part numbers so people can get it done with little trouble.

First off, the big "debacle" when the diffuser first came out was the six bolts that hold the diffuser tunnels to the support brackets. The part number for those is 07147117693.

Next, some people don't have the "aero" panels on the bottom of their car. The part number for one of those is 51752759385. If you plug it in to RealOEM it will show the parts list for everything you need to get them. You don't need them, but that's how you get them.

There are a couple other pieces needed, if you want, I'll get to that in the instructions.

Here we go:

First, the tools I needed are in this picture:


Next, remove the stock "diffuser". It pops out pretty easy after you remove the two screws on each side and bolt on the passenger side holding on the "diffuser", you won't be reusing the one bolt, make sure to take out the clip it threads in to.




Next, install the diffuser. Just pop it in and put the screws back in on each side. The two brackets circled align with the two holes circled in the second picture.



I used two expanding rivets and a couple washers to put in the holes circled above to hold them in to the brackets, also circled. You can do whatever you want, or nothing it all, but that was my solution. If you decide to get rivets, I recommend these: 07130702966. I apologize in advance if they don't fit, but I'm fairly certain they will.


Next, install the tunnel brackets by removing the two bolts holding the exhaust support and slide the bracket in between the support and the car body. The bolts go back in the same holes they came out of.


The exhaust support has a surprising amount of wiggle room while it's being tightened, this is the part that's frustrating. You may get lucky, or you may have to fit the tunnels a couple times and move around the bracket until everything lines up.


The next three images are for vehicles with underbody panels. I purchased 4 of the same clip sets that hold on the sides of the stock "diffuser".

Put 'U' clips on the underbody panels.


Next, install the tunnels. Put everything on loose and then get everything aligned as you tighten.

And, you're done.

I'm waiting on an order from Outmotoring, and what isn't clear to me which parts of the ones you mentioned, they will or won't be providing. Last post I saw from Aaron said they were trying to ship it as a complete plug-and-play set. If I'll need to order some stuff before it arrives, that's fine but I'm not 100% clear on what I'll be getting from Outmotoring.

I guess I'll just wait until it arrives and see what I'm missing, if anything. Thanks again for posting this. It really does look great. Now I need to check to see if my new 2013 JCW Coupe came with those cool underbody covers on the left and right. Those look like they really help with aerodynamics.

 

Kurt, you will need 6 bolts, part # 07147117693 and two expanding rivets. It's the same expanding rivet used to hold in the wheel well insulation, so your MINI parts guy can find them.

I don't know that OutMotoring has those in stock, but they definitely did not come in the kit I ordered from the dealership, nor are they listed in the parts list on RealOEM.

^yeah....but it can be had at a better price than what they offer. That GP2 wing is stupid expensive considering I'd rather have a 7 point adjustable MINI Challenge Wing painted at half that price.

definite spring project.... ...........if I had a JCW rear end.

 

Can anyone give me any suggestions on getting the diffuser to pop in? It doesn't really seem to pop in. I can get it in there, kind of, then do the other side but then the side I just did pops out. It just doesn't seem secure. Anyone have any ideas? When I push into it the bumper just pushes in. When I push from the back of the bumper it still doesn't seem to really pop in.

Nevermind. I didn't realize you had to push it so hard. I don't like going all hulk on it when it's on jackstands. Plus my original diffuser had fallen off months ago so there's all dirt in there now which is making it a pain in the ***. You can say that here right?

Try pressing harder? It should make a pop like a clip is sliding in to place. It should be snapped in as far as this picture, if not, try what I just said.
