Another thread talking about the terrible bluetooth quality in Mini's. A friend of mine has taken delivery of a 2013 clubman S with bluetooth. His system works great. No complaints at all! I wonder if those of us with older Mini's (mine's an '08) can simply buy a newer Bluetooth main unit and swap it into our cars for usable bluetooth.

Totally different hardware between R5x and R5x LCI cars. Your '08 has a separate module for handling BT while your friend's LCI has BT built into headunit.
