2004 MC40 edition #865/1000

Year: 2004
Make: MINI
Model: Cooper
Price: $13500
Mileage: 56600
Color: Red
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): Midwestern

Moving to the mountains & buying a car better suited to long drives & foul weather. I bought this vehicle here on this forum and am hoping to find somebody who will give it as much love as its first two owners!

- 56,500 miles
- I am the second, non-smoking owner. Car was originally in SoCal
- installed by original owner: Milltek aftermarket exhaust, DDM cold air intake, stubby radio antenna, M7 Strut Reinforcement Plates & larger/ more powerful PIAA yellow fog lamps
- Special Edition to celebrate the 40th Anniv. of the Mini winning the Rally at Monte Carlo! Only 1000 examples worldwide
- Kumho Ecsta 4X tires, size=205/45ZR17 88W XL all season tires on OEM wheels <5000 miles (I ditched the run flats when I put these on)
- 17" Team Dynamics ProRace 1 wheels with BF Goodrich gForce Sport - Custom center caps with "S" logos- these have minimal tread and some curb rash on two wheels
-The original owner's description is perfect: "Equipped with carbon-fiber dashboard, striking red and black leather seats that are unique to this model, a special gauge package to track voltage and oil temperature, a sport package with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), front and rear fog lights, on-board computer and Xenon self cleaning head lamps, rally-style driving lights with chrome bezels, a chrome grille and rear boot handle ,chrome mirror caps, a tasteful "GB" insignia on the rear boot lid (the "GB" insignia delaminated and has been removed), and a special numbered commemorative plate in the center console indicating the exclusivity of this limited edition car"

Asking $13,500 including 2nd set of wheels

I have several more photos of the car and both sets of wheels I can e-mail if you want to see them.

For anyone looking for a great MINI this is the one!! I have an MC40 as well and it is awesome!! It runs great and the drive is exciting. I'm sure Dermboy's MC40 will provide plenty of fun and exhilaration for any new owner. So sad to see you have to let her go. I hope you had as much fun as I have!!

Only upto a certain month of the 2004 model year.

I lived in the Pococno Mountains in PA and had a 61 mile commute to work. With snow tires I never had any issues. GLWS

Wink

Braminator- I understand. It's not that the MINI couldn't handle the weather, but some days I will be driving 1.5, 2.5, or 5 hours 1 way. It has less to do with the FWD than the fact that sometimes I may need to take passengers with me. I had the opportunity to aquire a 2007 Audi S8 (I know, kind of a crazy transition from the MINI) that I couldn't pass up. If I can't fetch a good price I'm just going to keep the MINI, too. Eventually, I'm probably going to get to some RWD roots for track driving...either back in a Miata or a BRZ

Well the S8 is real nice. I would love one as a family car. In any event good luck.

Thank you. I just realized there is a small bit of irony in the S8 business. When I bought my MINI from somebody on this board, he had recently moved out of an M5 (the V10 model). Must be something about the MC40 edition!
