No Start R53 with interesting side effects

So this morning I go to start my trusty MINI and all I get is clicking of the starter with my high beams flashing and the drivers window lowering about an inch with every click. Any ideas on what may be going on?

I would guess battery. Weird things happen when the battery goes.

agree with the battery as primary suspect. take it to your local auto parts store and have it LOAD-TESTED. If it fails, buy a new one.

Thanks for the quick responses. I should have prefaced that last Wednesday a Ford Explorer tried to make my MINI his hood ornament and at the moment I am not able to get easily to the battery compartment.

That will cause weird things too! Maybe the reason the battery is dead?

Occams Razor:
Of all possible explanations,
the simplest is usually correct.

Electrical issue(s) most likely related to recent impact.
Assess damage or you could end up with a fire back there if the + batt cable goes to ground.
(if batt is located in back, as in MCS),

Sudden impacts can cause the lead plates to break, or the plastic case to crack....leading to leaking battery acid...both lead to a dead battery...one much more dangerous than the other...then again...a partially cut or dammaged battery cable can arc, causing a fire or lack of current in sufficent amps to crank....
I would inspect it asap.
