Need ¼ mile run analyzed

2004 R53 100,000 miles, 17% pulley, Alta intercooler, Alta intake, straight piped, performance plugs/wires/& coil. 17's wrapped in Nitro Neo Gens front & rear. I know the launch was a little much, but can someone help me figure out how to get a bit more out of my runs. Thanks. Here's the link to the vid. 85° track temp.

Do you have your 60' time?

Cheers,

Do you have the timeslip? That will usually give you a lot of info. IF you do post a pic of it.

are you talking what to improve skill-wise or what to improve car-wise?

Well I imagine that much wheel spin on launch probably tacked an extra second to a second and a 1/2 on my overall time, but aside from that can any other conclusions be drawn from just what you can see? It'll take a good bit of time to unearth my slips from 2011, but I'll do my best to find them. Do you all normally take TCS off when flying in a straight line?

yes, tcs off, because at that high of rpms while shifting should cause your tires to spin. if tcs is on, your car will bog down and cut boost. you just need to work on your launch. it will take a while, but you have to find out what rpms to launch at, how quick to let off the clutch, in order to get your best time in a straight line. i would say, either, let your clutch out slower, or launch at a lower rpm.

Letting my clutch out slower just seems to be hard on my clutch just judging from the aroma coming from burning carbon material lol. Much lower rpm and it just seems like it takes forever to get going and still spins a bunch. I guess figure out exactly the rpm to launch from. Anyone have any suggestions? I feel like the mini has one of the best not only shifters but shifter gates and clutch feel. I never seem to grind any of the gears ever.

Stock your car should do 15.1 if my source is correct http://www.zeroto60times.com/Mini-Co...mph-Times.html

I haven't owned a mini for long but here is what I've done in other cars.
Hold the rpm at about your torque peak at the line while holding your e-brake, start riding your clutch as soon as the yellows start and as the light turns green drop your e-brake slip the clutch up quickly while rolling onto the throttle. There's a fine line between bog and excessive wheel spin. I don't claim this to be the best way but just something that has worked well for me. Another tip is while your practicing your launch don't worry about your reaction time my best 60 foot time in my old miata was with a .77 RT

UK R53 1320MINI 1/4 drag time.

Our friends in the UK are fond of drag racing their R53. Below is one of them, tuned by 1320MINI.

HPSpike managed to do a 105MPH run (ET: 13.23) in 2012 with 6 year old BF Goodridge drag radials.

His best ET run was the following:
60FT = 1.85
330FT = 5.38
1/8th = 8.35 (83.03 MPH)
1000 FT = 10.92
1/4 ET = 13.11 (102.60 MPH)

MINI Mod List (Sunroof car with NAVI, full interior, just rear seats removed):
  1. 1320MINI Tune using Bytetronik FA53 Tuning Kit
  2. Bosch 550cc Injectors
  3. ABF stage 3a head
  4. Janspeed manifold
  5. Borla Cooper Catback
  6. 1320-spec Cat cam
  7. ARP Rod and Head bolts
  8. Stock pistons
  9. 19% pulley on a M45
  10. Water meth.
If you can post up your slip, we can provide you with more input.

if they will fit over your brakes go with a taller side wall 15' tire for the front only. also ditch the neo gens and go with a drag radial (race day only of course) back from my honda 1/4 mile days i had an all motor crx that ran 13.8.
I dropped about 3/4 of a second just by running a smaller wheel and larger tire/drag radial. also you very much need to learn your launch rpms that much tire spin is insane.
personally i say find some curves and twisties. i got bored going in straight lines.(which is why i don't own a honda anymore)
