r56 non-s question

Does anyone know if stock 2012 jcw struts, shocks, and sway bars will fit a 2012 Cooper? I know the sway bar is thicker so I need mounts too, but is it wider or anything? I don't want to drop the subframe to find out, I have to mod so things...
Any info will help, thanks.

Yes it will fit. You will need to change the sway bar mounts like you mentioned.

Just be sure that you are actually getting JCW components. JCW springs are alwas red. Also the JCW suspension is specked to the weight of your car depending on options, sun roof ect.. You can buy a JCW car with stock, sport, or JCW springs, struts/shocks. They are all options. I have seen several marketplace sales that state JCW suspension ( which was from a JCW car) but in reality was the stock or sport suspension. In any case they will all fit.

I said they were from a stock jcw. The gentleman had jcw suspension installed at dealer. And I had the opportunity to acquire his brand new jcw stock suspension with no miles on them. The front struts say sport and the rear say Cooper s. The springs are black.

Well aparently what you bought is the sport suspension which is an option over the standard suspension. If you had the sport suspension on your Cooper it would be the same thing. You can check the part numbers at
realoem.com.

Unfortunately, the part numbers for the springs is not an RealOEM, you need to go find the BMW ETK program to look those up.
