New Driving Lights!

Just installed some new driving lights on Buster!

Super easy install, with all the wires completely hidden from view.

Looking good, buddy! Been trying to aim my Black Magics correctly for a year. Kinda more important that I did a HID conversion!

How difficult was that one? Haha. I bet it looks sweet. My xenons really block out the actual driving lights, so I am gonna set them for maximum "Get the F*** Out of the Way" to slow people on the interstate....

I got this kit from The Retrofit Source. Good quality stuff! It was interesting figuring out where to put the balasts.

Here they are (along with the xenons)!

Those look very nice, I wanted to order them with my car but I was then told they would be a $1,300 extra.

M'Cooper, the OEM lights are overpriced and installed at the dealer who will charge an absurd amount. I know from personal experience as I got raped by MINI by ordering them (the one thing I didn't properly do my homework on!). I recommend two things to people ordering MINIs: Xenons and DO NOT order the driving lights. As Laardilla and I have done, install Hella 500's, either standard or Black Magics. Much better lights for far less money. Oh, I used and recommend VIP Custom mounts.

P.S.: I also recommend VIP Custom's exhausts paired with an Akrapovic DP (Delete R to suppress CEL).

I was concerned with warranty issues if I should have any. That was why I wanted the ones from mini.

While everyone is dead on about them being overpriced, I preferred OEM driving lights over aftermarket for the simple reason that they fall within the grille surrounds. Sharp looking. Just my .02 cents...

There is that, Albie, but I think the Black Magics (at least with my set-up/see gallery) present an aggressive look. The one thing that I did get from the OEM light's was the off/on button which matches the interior.

M'cooper, I really can't see too many warranty issues with driver's lights but then again as you might tell that issue hasn't slowed me down!

I love mine. They are definitely more aggressive looking than the OEM ones from MINI.
