How come the stealer wants so much for it??
Price on realoem is $107.30 (realize those prices are often off),
and actual current price of $113.25 at pelicanparts.com (BMW/MINI OEM part).

Thats what my dealer quoted me, i hate going to my dealer the next closest one is 4 hours away.

i went in to buy a jcw kit from them once and they said we are a warranty shop not an aftermarket shop.... i was less then pleased

Yet another reason to keep the coolant fresh and flushed....
Just a reminder, tge mini DOES NOT USE LONGLIFE COOLANT, and draining and refilling or flushing is part of regular mataince....once our bmw/mini blue coolant gets to 24-36 months of age, the anticorrosive agents are spent, and the water can start eating your motor and parts from then inside....and the rust scale builds up in the (most frequently) in the heater core, blocking it....
Interesting a dealer would turn down selling/installing JCW parts....they are dealer/oem parts, and cost some $$$ compared to other aftermarket equivelent items. Older jcw parts are getting pretty rare...maybe they did not want to be bothered trying to track them down, then quote you on a $$$$ price you might have said "WOW, FOR XXX?!!!". Once a car is out of warrenty....much of the reasoning for JCW parts are gone....JCW parts were very popular as a way to mod a car and matain your factory warrenty...well built, and well engeneerered, but always $$$$....shockingly so to folks the first time they price parts out......
