Put my New '04 MCS to the test tonight! :)

So me and a few friends decided to take a drive tonight since i got a new car. We went from Lynn, Ma to Gloucester, Ma on a particularly curvy road which is the route we would always take. My Previous car was a 2002 Saab 9-3 se after tune and exhaust was pushing 250hp but didnt handle for crap. So me in the MCS (Stock) buddy Dan in an '02 WRX wagon (stock) and Dave in a '06 RSX (lowered, exhaust & headers and CAI) took the curvy roads in stride with my MCS prevailing. Then on the way home we took rt. 128 where we all lined up multiple times. First line up was MCS v. RSX (170hp n/a). My MCS completely put him to shame. Then came the WRX (210hp TD04 turbo) on the third beep i pulled on him then our speeds evened out briefly before my MCS again pulled on him taking him by a car length. All runs were done multiple times and the same results happened. Later down 128 i came across a 05 Mustang GT pulled up to him and signaled, three beeps and away we went or should i say I went and the MCS lest him standing still as his v8 roared trying to keep up then later he pulled a ricer flyby or should i say domestic flyby. With that being said im am UBER excited to be the proud owner of an '04 MCS!

He is hinting that the forums don't like boy racer talk. Racing is for a closed environment. But I am sure your MCS is really fun. My 03 was and now my 12 JCW is. This won't be me last Mini. Have fun and be safe.

I'm guessing the Mustang was a V6 automatic with a 16 year old driver! The mcs may be quick, but I certainly would not call it fast.

^+1 on what he said. We all know better here. Twisties yes, starights, no way unless the driver was 90 with a bad right foot.

We all will assume this done on a race track right

And my apologies on the "boy racer talk" i have never been on a forums where a few quick and controlled highway pulls where frowned upon.

Which is why I never notice my exact speed around Blackburn Circle...

Cheers,

If you don't glance over at the speedo, then you aren't really speeding...right?

LYNN states "later down 128 i came across a 05 Mustang GT pulled up to him and signaled, three beeps and away we went or should i say I went and the MCS lest him standing still as his v8 roared trying to keep up then later he pulled a ricer flyby or should i say domestic flyby."

I say, give us a BREAK------please explain how you differentiate between a 2005 Mustang from all the "other" model years as that body style was made for several years?

You sure your MINI's stock? I've read a good few threads where members have discovered some dark secrets about their pre-owned cars.

@RS Well the 2005 body style mustang was made from 05 to 09... The GT came with a 4.6 liter engine that was over all quite weak then mated with the heavy chassis and body which are quite easy to take out with light quick cars. Modified stands well that's a different story. I'm sure you catch the drift
@bram thanks
@ lethal yes I'm pretty sure it's stock

I too am with Porthos with regards to IBTL posting about street racing or speeding is against the rules to which you agreed. While you may think it was harmless it still isn't kosher. I am not here chastising you, just pointing out that the rules are here so we don't boast about dangerous activities and turn into a boy racer forum speaking of spanking numerous cars and fart can exhausts.

Enjoy the new car, post pics and go find a Auto X or track day to really unleash it.
