Alex,

It appears that Fuzion does not offer an OEM 205x45-17 option. Thoughts about using the the Fuzion 215x45-17 or 205x40-17 tires on a BBS RK 7x17 rim?

Thanks.

Alex,

How do you guys at Tire Rack like these tires? They're made by Bridgestone right?

Thanks Alex. The price appears low, is that a relfection of medium tread life, ~< 30k?

Exactly,

I expect 25-30k, like AVS ES100, based on its 320 A A, vs. the RE 950 wich is 45k 400 A A.

So, anyone bite the bullet yet? I just ordered a set of four in 215/45-17. I won't be mounting them on the car for another couple'a weeks, and I'm curious as to anyone else's experience with them.

I'll be lucky to get 11k miles out of my ES100's... with only 8k miles of street driving and 3 autocrosses, one of them is almost down to the wear bars (and I rotate them quite often). The ES100 is a great tire, but like any other stickier rubber, you ain't ever gonna get 25k miles out of them unless you drive like my Gramma!

I run with a 205-45, but in a 16. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the Fuzions come in that not so common size! I'm going to stay with the Yokos though as it appears to have a much wider contact patch (tread width) of 7.9" vs. 7.1" for the Fuzion's...

Maybe those figures are not correct... as the 225-50 -16 Fuzions have a contact patch of only 7.2. I got them off of the TireRack website, so I would think that they are correct...

It seems that quite a few 215's have less than 7.9" of contact. The Bridgestone Potenza S-03 215-55 -16 have a contact of 7.9", like the 205 Yokos...

Okay...so I know I don't have my MINI anymore....but I just put four Fuzions on my M Coupe - 245/40/17 (rear) and 225/45/17 (front) I was running Pole Positions S-03's, which were near the end of their life. Lots of tramlining and noisy. The Fuzions so far are quiet and smooth. No tramlining on known roads with issues. The price was attractive, and while I would have been tempted to go with Goodyear Eagles F1 GS-D3's - I realize that I don't drive my car near to it's limits, even on track. I know there are some other Bimmer owners running them.....but not many. Some have called them a "fashion" tire....but they called the Yoko Parada Spec 2's that as well....and I was happy with them on my MINI.......just my .02....
