Access Panel Removal

Happy New Year Everyone!

I'd like to do the channel swap in my Mini, but I'm having a bit of difficulty getting the access panels off.

The access panel around the hood release comes off easily, but what's the trick to getting the small panel just above that one?

I've tugged on it pretty hard and I don't want to break it - It seems like it shouldn't be that hard to remove it. Is there a screw somewhere or is it just clipped in?

Thanks in advance!

WOW too late I am!
Don't do it. There is an excellent article by somebody here on how your
ears actually hear sound. The short of it is by swapping you change the truncated signals that go to the rear with the full ones in the front. I did the swap. I didn't think it sounded as good and put it back.

the thing to do is first upgrade your speakers. Put in an amp.
Put in a new HU using the metra kit.

Those things make the difference.

If you upgrade the speakers, is the channel swap still necessary? Will it make new speakers sound better, or it wrong make a difference?
