Help with garage door opener install with Ian Cull's Auto-Up

I picked up one of the Ian Cull Auto-Up circuits from FES as a Christmas present for the wife's MINI and am about to install. Trying to figure out how the garage door opener feature gets wired in. I have read the installation instructions on the FES website but the garage door opener section is a little thin.

Does anyone have any pictures of how they wired this in? Does the garage door opener, once wired into the auto-up circuit board, get tucked up into the center console? Is there enough room in there? (I haven't pulled mine apart yet.)

My garage door opener will open the garage door when connecting the power with the button pushed down. Is there a "tried-and-true" method of keeping the button pushed down? Or will I need to MacGuyver something up?

Also, my garage door opener runs on a 9-volt battery. When properly wired in and activated, will the auto-up circuit send 12 volts through the opener? Any issues with it being 3 volts more than intended?

Any pictures of installs would be appreciated. I did a quick search but didn't come across any.
