Stance is my goal.

Howdy. Name is Trevor. Just purchased an 03 Mini Cooper S. Indi Blue. I'm new to mini's, i'm coming from euro cars. Used to drive an Audi A4/VW Cabrio/ VW Rabbit Pickup.

Now, coming from my Audi. I like my car slammed to the ground. I have no need to speed. Weaseled my way out of way too many speeding tickets.

I am going to be buying coilovers for the car, I originally planned on putting bags on the car.

What i need!
I need to learn the specs for offsets for mini and their stance!

Show me pics of your cars stance with wheel/offset specs!

In most cases you will need 5mm spacers in the front because the coilover comes in contact with the wheel. Other than that STs or KWs are a good choice.

Ive got 12mm spacers to clear my coils up front on the stock 17x7 et42(? Or 48? Can't quite remember). But I do have the VMAXX coils...which have larger front springs than "normal" coilovers because they use the OEM top mount.

We have sold many ST kits to forum members with great feedback. Can't beat a KW product with a 5 year warranty. It is a good kit for daily driving.

I personally run KW on my BMW. Stainless Steel housing is great for people who need to drive their Minis in the snow. Depending on which model KW coilover you buy the features will vary. Lifetime warranty.

Every person has different goals with their suspension.

I don't think I understand. KW V1's and ST's are not dramatically more expensive than VMAXX.

$400+ over $650 coils is dramatic to me. Call me stupid, but I am on a very tight budget.

KW V1 go the lowest and are the best quality.
The Vmaxx is a copy of them.
Similar but lower quality.

Fair enough, I actually didn't realize vmaxx were that inexpensive. I thought there were around $800 for some reason. I got my ST's for $975 shipped on sale.

Only thing vmaxx does well is to go low. They are bad at everything else.

Theyre fairly soft before you go terribly low...I still ride better than stock with some tire tuck.

For clearing my rings i've got a 12mm spacer to obvious my rings in advance side on the inventory 17x7 et42(? Or 48? Can't quite remember). But I do have the VMAXX rings...which have bigger front side rises than "normal" coilovers because they use the OEM top install. . . . . . . .
