Sport Suspension (factory option)

Category: Suspension
Price: $300
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): SoCal
Item Condition: Used

For sale- 4 shocks and springs with 3,500 miles on them. Just came off my 2012 Clubman when I changed them out for Koni FSD's and NM springs.

These are the parts making up the Sport Suspension option package ($500 upgrade). Per MINI, they offer firmer spring rate and increased dampening from the base suspension. They are in great condition and have not been tracked or autocrossed. Photo link:

Listing them at $300.00 for the whole set. Like new condition...less than half price. Negotiable on shipping.

Just an FYI, you might want to consider holding on to the oem springs since FSD's are not designed to work with lowering springs.

I appreciate the feedback. Your caution is one school of thought but there is a decent size group of owners that have done this and not had any issues. I talked with 7 different owners in my local club who had done this setup (including my mechanic) and they say FSDs are working fine with moderate lowering springs. I fell off the fence in favor of trying it and, one month into it I'm pleased with the result. I'm sure the road conditions and driving style are important in this decision as well.

I'm told the generation 2 suspension does not interchange with the gen 1's

2 questions:

1. you're not including the sway bar here right? That is, you're selling just spring and strutt FROM a Clubbie that had the sport suspension optioned, yes?

2. what other weight altering options did you have in the MINI? (sunroof y/no, etc.) since afaik the factory actually specs the springs out per your vehicle weight (to what variation I don't know but worth investigating)

thx!

The sway bar wasn't changed out and the springs/struts are the available parts. There is no sunroof and the clubbie included the Premium, Cold Weather and Technology packages but the included Sport Package would likely have the biggest impact on spring rates they used (17" alloy wheel upgrade). The specs could be seen in detail using the NAM VIN lookup tool. VIN is
WMWZG3C56CTY31823.

Hope that helps and let me know if other questions.
