It sounds like your motor is trying way to hard to suck air through the intake. take off the aftermarket one, check for debris in the intake tract and then start it. if it does not make the sound replace the intake then try again. If it makes that weird noise then you know its the intake.

here is what I put in the motoring alliance thread "I have this weird sound it only happens after the car has been sitting for a bit(like 5+ hours) and it isn't everytime it does that. I had just done an intake and intercooler muffler delete pipe before I noticed it. For one after doing these the blow off sound was much louder and I noticed it was fluttering, no telling how long it had been doing that. It didn't flutter every time but mostly when I'd rev it high. I had a forge uprated diverter valve and have since taken it off and put the stock back on which is really sucking because it's definitely caused a performance loss, doesn't hold boost the same or at least feels this way as I don't have a boost gauge. If it's the turbo bearings would it be intermittent like that or would it be a consistent noise?

Thanks for any help!

I'm not so sure that would be it but if I can manage to get it off when it does it next time quick enough I'll see. The tubing looks clear though.

A way to test the bearing in your turbo is to remove the intake side off the turbo, then stick your hand in there and see if the compressor wheel wiggles at all. if it does then you have bad bearings.

Checked the turbine, it's solid and spins freely the way it's suppose to.

Turbo bearings seem to be good then.does the grinding or sucking increase with engine RPM?

It goes away entirely. It's just when you start it and not even every time. you can either let it sit and it will go away or rev it a couple of times and it goes away. Oil is full coolant level is good, just friggin weird.

It's not the neutral gear thing either because depressing the clutch does nothing to change it only letting it go for about a minute or giving it a couple of revs.

You're sure it's engine related? I had a car that the pilot bearing on my clutch went out and it would make a grinding sound.
