Focal has a very good reputation and has become a higher end speaker. I have been a Home Theater and Car Audio geek for 25 plus years. I have Focal speakers in my Ford F150 Screw and I have been very happy with them and they do sound very good. I would put them up against the Infinity and B.A. line of speakers if not higher.

As a stereo guy, best speaker I've ever heard in my life...well, currently. For $120, DO IT I promise you'll have no remorse.

I had Focals all around in my Subaru, they were so loud and clear I felt like the highs were causing tiny fractures in my skull. I didn't have time to pull em when I sold my car. :(

I haven't looked, but are they the Focal Access, Polyglass, or VR3?

Also Focal is VERY choosy on who can sell Focal. The stuff on eBay, fake. MAKE SURE you get em from an authorized dealer, if you aren't sure call focal. Crutch field definitely is tho...

I'm assuming a pair of these will fit the rear of a Clubman S with stock radio?
What 3 1/4" Front Speakers would match up? Crutchfield says they have some 6 1/2" shallow depth speakers that will fit with modification, but don't specify what "modification" means.

WAY higher than Infinity and BA. A lot of companies are out sourcing. Focal is still made in France.

The ONLY speaker better, mid-90s Sound Stream SPL. I've been waiting for em to pop up on eBay for about 2 years. Now they are made by Metra (they make dash kits and adaptor harnesses). As the prices are about 1/4 of what it used to be, I've decided to pass. The old Reference amps (mid-90s) were unbeatable. They still look identical to this day, but not even close. Sad.

My impression is that you want to do component speakers up front and put a tweeter in the where the 3" would go?

I've never looked at my rear speakers, but an 05 r52 with HK definitely had 6.5". I'm yet to peel back my own panel on my r53 and look for myself. Once I get off my butt and look, I'm ordering them. Polyglass speakers sound AAAAAAAMAZING!!

not all focal are made in france...but they are all still engineered there. you will not be disappointed.

the new integration line steps away from their traditional inverted metal dome tweeter used on the access and poly glass. much smoother highs.

i sure wish my soundstream reference 644s would fit anywhere in the mini...that amp is incredible for something rated at "45x4"....
