R50/53 Your Opinion?
What is this noise??
I hate being the "do you hear that noise?" guy but would everyone please take a second, listen to both videos, and tell me if my car sounds..."right"? Thanks in advance!

I checked the oil this morning before work and it was full.

Just got the car back from Way Motor Works (Awesome guys!) three weeks ago after it being out of commission awhile.I begin to have problems when my #3 spark plug shot out on the interstate, this was fixed by a helicoil that was put on while the head was still on (later found out it wasn't put low enough and was firing in the spark plug tube) from there I started experiencing low oil pressure under 1000 RPM and a horrible clanging tin can type noise. I called a local shop listed on Google as import mechs and asked if they worked on MINI's which he said yea all the time (later found out I was the second one they had ever had in the shop...) after they pulled the head I found out I had a burnt valve and need the head checked over by a local head shop (they fixed the incorrect helicoil). I was told my car was fixed and I went and got it. ($1500) The low oil pressure was still there (which I dumbly attributed to it working into the new filter) and two weeks later the horrible clanging returned. I called the mech and took it right back to him. Three days later he called and told me he drove it...and it quit. The next day he figured out that by "quit" he meant they had somehow broken the timing chain. After being asked question that HE should have known, not me, such as whether or not the car had an interference engine I decided it was time to stop trusting the guy so I had my car towed out of there and then I trailered it down to the good gentlemen at Way Motor Works. They found the timing chain in 5 pieces in the oil pan, broken timing chain guides, the cover was all jacked up, and the oil pump was broken. After replacing everything and putting it back together they found and fixed 5 bent valves, put it all back together and it's now back to me. The car is running great, and I might just be hearing things but it seems "off" to me...so that's where we sit. Thanks again for your time and I welcome any other questions that could help lead to an answer.
