Hello all,

I am replacing my oil pan and can't find the torque for the 3 bolts that go between the transmission and the oil pan. None of the guides or my bentley manual specify.

Does anyone have it? They're 3 M12x1.75 bolts 65mm long.

I should mention, this instruction manual:

says:Tightening torque 21 11 1AZ

But i don't know what that means...

It is 85 n-m if you click on the link at the bottom. But the link leads to a list for 23 00
Can someone confirm?


Fun incident: The last dealer that worked on my car rounded off one of the bolts pretty badly *while taking it off* and then re-used it! I --barely-- got it off, so now i'm searching for a replacement. none of the local auto parts stores have it, so I got a so-so bolt from home depot that i'll use to drive to the dealer.

On my TIS cdrom, which only goes up to 2003, the Midland (R50) and the Getrag (R53), both say 85 Nm,
which is 62.7 ft-lb, for the three transmission to oil sump M12 bolts.
I can't imagine the 5-speed Getrag on the 2005 MINI R52 (justa)Cooper Convertible would be any different.
