R50/53 oem radio problem

oem radio problem

4 years ago i 've changed my radio.
but after these years i decided to go back to oem
and then i realised that something is missing from the back of the radio
the red circled spot where the antena cable goes
what do i do now ???

That is the female side of the OEM antenna connector. Your antenna cable should have the male side of that connector on it....unless someone butchered it. I bought a headpiece from Crutchfield last year and they gave me an adapter to the common style. It's just a short cable with a female end like your radio on one end and the common male plug on the other. Good luck!

my antenna cable is ok
the problem is that the radio is missing the circled part.
someone must have unscrew it

And who might that someone be?

I think they are standard connectors. There might be adapters available.

maybe the guy that changed the radio..
i asked for adapters but they say its an oem part only and MINI doesnt sell it seperetely

as far as for you Kahnfucious, thanks,but i will try and fix this and if it cant be done i will go back to my aftermarket .

You think the installer moved the oem one on the radio to your aftermarket one....

+1 No other reason to remove; it's screwed in, so it's not like it just fell off.

totally agree with you that there is no reason to unscrew it.
checked my aftermarket unit and all the connections but nothing :(
