R60 is R60 Key remote suck or what ??

is R60 Key remote suck or what ??

i am having a problem with my key remote...

i have to stand within 2 feet of my car to lock, unlock my car and point the key right to the car to get it to work every time....

is my key singal really weak or does anyone has the same problem ???

That's abnormal - my R60 range is actually great (100 feet or so).

My R52 on the other hand... I have to be within 3 feet...

Have you tried your other key? If it's the same, it's the receiver in the car.

If the other key is fine, it's the first key's transmitter.

Could be as simple as a new battery for the remote.

Mine does that intermittently. It usually happens when I am wrangling a screaming baby and two bags of groceries, so I figure its karma for something I did earlier in life. Other than in those situations it works fine.

Happens to me all all the time. Some times I have to walk to the front of the car to make it work.

could it be your window tint blocking the rf signal?

Good point, but I have 35% on fronts and 5% on everything else - no problem at over 100ft.

Tint shouldn't block RF. IR perhaps, but that shouldn't affect the MINI remote. My guess is gremlins.
