Just wanted to see if there are any R56's heading to Fixxfest this year. Or R53's all the same. Gonna be heading down with my two friends and their GTI 20th anniversary's. Would love to run into some other MINI's

Word. I figured when you posted your 1/4 mile thread you might be referring to FixxFest. But yeah I'll be there, my cars pretty distinctive, as you can see in the sig pic. Astro black, bbs rgr's, checkers all over, and Texas plates. You gonna be there the whole weekend? We're heading down tomorrow morning staying until after the cruise on sunday. We should meet up at some point we gotta get the MINI back into the Euro scene! I'd love to get some pictures with another r56 too.

Oh, and my Euro plate will be NITE-HÄWK when I'm down there. My buddy's black gti has -DRÄGöN- (The intro scene of Stepbrothers)

I'm only going for Saturday, as I couldn't get off work for both days.

I'm 6'8 so I'll stick out almost as much as your Mini!

Hahaha okay I'll be looking for the giant in the MINI . My brother's 6'8" and drives an 09 R56 so I understand. I'm not running this time though, my car's in a transitional phase haha. Just saving up to really take care of everything I need to to bring the car up to par. 105,000 miles takes a toll on suspension and axles . She's lookin gorgeous, and she'll be chillin in the parking lot this year, but it's a never-ending process as I'm sure you know.

 

I'm going to run mine a couple of times just for fun.

I paid for a turbo back exhaust last week, but it hasn't arrived -_-

Oh hell yeah that's awesome man. That's the spirit. If mine was less aged I'd do the same thing, I'm just concerned about my internals and drivetrain at this point. But heck who knows I might end up doing a couple passes if you do, it would be seriously badass for us to drag, show people what R56's are all about lol . Either way, I PMed you definitely let me know when you're down there and we can meet up and figure it out.

 

Sounds good! I'd love to see how my car does against another r56.

I've also been wanting to get some advice on mods, as I've yet to meet someone else with a modded r56.

Hopefully there'll be some more Mini's out there. I'd like to think that we won't be the only ones!

 

Yeah, I'm hoping to see a decent MINI turnout. I'd be glad to go over everything I've done to mine, and what I've heard about the alternatives. I've switched pretty much everything out except internals and serious suspension. But yeah, I might be down for one pass.

 

I know of 2 guys from our area going (SWFL).
