Recommendations for firmer shifting? Bushings? Motor Mount?

Anyone have any suggestions for bushings/motor mount? Just looking for a better feel in the shifter rather than it feels so soft.

My last car was a MS3 and I added bushing/rear motor mount and the difference was night and day. Any experiences or stories with your Minis after the changes?

Please tell me your stories with making your shifting feel better in your Mini.

I put one of these http://www.nm-eng.com/230/11/0/1456/...rm-insert.html in my 2010 and it definitely made the shifts feel firmer. Installation is is DIY in about 30 minutes. You might also consider a short shifter like the Helix http://www.waymotorworks.com/helix-short-shift-kit.html. Installation is still DIY but a bit more complicated. You have to drop the exhaust and temporarily remove the heat shield to do the install. Both are good mods for the R56.

Agreed. I installed the NM torque arm insert after the NM short shift adaptor. I also installed the NM modified cover to keep out debris. Install was a breeze. I replaced my exhaust at the same time as the short shift adaptor. Cost was reasonable for the parts and well worth it. The insert tightens up and smooths out the shifts along with a slight reduction of torque steer. You can't go wrong. Vibration at idle is very minimal.

The NM short shifter http://www.nm-eng.com/230/3/0/2445/n...t-adapter.html is very similar to the Helix; however, it wasn't available at the time I did my install 2 yrs ago.

Absolutely loved everyone suggestions.

I purchased NM Torque Arm and Short Shifter from OutMotoring.

The installation was super easy and the improvement is so noticeable.

Now, I just really need to find my new step up for performance under 800 and other than Accessport

You can generally find an accessport for $650 or so in the marketplace here. It's the best mod for HP/torque.
