Still not able to track my Countryman order from 10/23/2012 through OL UPDATED!!!

UPDATED!

Finally, got my MA to respond and got my full VIN. I loaded it in on the W&W website and it looks like it was loaded onto the BESS ? on 11/18/2012 and the ETA they show to arrive in Port Hueneme is 12/12/2012.

I ordered it on 10/23/12 and it was locked in for production in week 45. My MA told me it was scheduled to be built yesterday.

I know it takes time for things to update but when I ordered my '09 MCS Hatch, it seems like I was able to go in almost right away and see the various stages of production. I've tried entering in my production number and it keeps saying that I'm too early and to check back later.

Have they changed the tracking system in the Owners Lounge?

Owners Lounge

I haven't been able to get into the Owner's Lounge yet. Three different computers over the past week tell me the same thing after I put in my name and password--they have locked the account because of too many attempts to log-in.

Easier just to call the customer assistance number.

The owner's lounge has been next to useless. Well, I was able to get my VIN, but you can also get that from your MA. I'm fairly sure the OL updated at close to the right time when my car went to "scheduled for production" status, but that was weeks ago. I know for a fact that the car is on a boat headed this way, but the OL still says SFP.

The 866-ASK-MINI automated system has actually been quite accurate. Comparing the status changes it tells me with what my MA tells me (less frequently than I'd like!), the computer voice is about 1-2 days behind. I realize this won't help you right away, but when you DO get your production number...

Well, I have my 7 digit production number, but I tried again today and it still give me the "For a new owner, you're pretty quick on the draw!" BS...

Got in touch with my MA and he was able to track down a VIN finally... Still not able to log into the OL.

I called 866-ASK-MINI and punched in the production number and it said that is was done and waiting for the carrier.

I guess it's a bit slower and different at the Countryman plant in Austria as opposed to the plant in Oxford which churns out a MINI every minute.

Now I just have to track down the boat!

I ordered a 2013 CM on October 16. Owners lounge has never yet accepted the production number. I even received the "Track Your MINI" email (but the production number was blank).

However, ASK-MINI seems to have updated info. First time I checked it said it was "in production and due to be finished November 7". Since then it went through Body Shop, Paint Shop, and as of this morning is complete and awaiting transport. All this was with just the automated portion.

I'm hoping my CM arrives in time to take advantage of the Not Normal $750 voucher, which expires on 1/3/13. Not holding my breath, though, since I am in the Pacific NW.

I picked up my Countryman last night and the owners lounge says it's sill on the boat!

I ordered a 2013 a while ago (I was very early, the dealership held it and put in the order with MINI as early as they could) and I still can't get in the owner's lounge either. However, I tried the 866-ASK-MINI number today and it's supposedly built and on the way to the port.

The dealer did tell me ahead of time that the tracking in the Owner's Lounge is never current.

I don't have my notes handy (I've been tracking the date each time my status changes so I can post the timeline here when it's all over), but I think that waiting for a carrier means it's waiting for a ride to Bremerhaven. When it makes it to the port, the status changes again to "at the port of exit" or something like that.

Not sure if this has been posted on NAM or not (probably has!), but there is a webcam at the port of Bremerhaven that actually works. It's not as if you could actually see your car but you MIGHT be able to see your boat. I saw mine... Pretty cool, in an obsessive kind of way

Called today and the message said ;

"Your vehicle was released to a carrier and awaiting transportation to the port of exit"... I wonder how long now?...

It's gotta get here by Dec. 21!

I ordered my 2012 CM on Oc. 13. The car was built on Oct. 31. Now it is also waiting for transportation.

Tried again today with no luck....

TBH, I don't think you'll be able to until they get the website updated. Nevermind the fact that you can't even get the 2013 info on the "build your own" tool... they have never updated showing the options, accessories, etc...

One of the reasons why I fell in love and bought my 09 MCS Hatch was because I could build it on the site and see EVERY option update.... They are sorely lacking on their website right now... Hopefully, they will address this soon. It's actually pretty absurd for it to not be up and running considering how many people have to special order their car.

I called the 866 ASK MINI like another poster in this thread suggested and its the best way to track where your car is...

Mine is now "being transported to the port of exit"....

Went to the dealer today and talked to my MA. He got me a printout of the whole time line for the car. It arrived in Bremerhaven on the 5th and was loaded on the Asian King which left port on the 10th. Asian King is currently in the English Channel. Due to arrive at the Baltimore VDC on the 23rd. Should have my hands on it by the 28th. YESSSSSSSSSS!

Finally!!! After placing my original order on 10/16, my car finally went into production! Sheesh! Still can't login into the OL though. My MA gave me the VIN and an expected Production completed date of 11/21. So....does anyone think Santa will be able to deliver it by Christmas??? :-)

Hi -- My 2013 CM went into production 10/22 and completed 11/02. Transferred to port of exit 11/03 and at exit port 11/05 awaiting shipping vessel. She finally left 11/10 on the Rigel Leader for Port Hueneme with an estimated arrival of 12/04. The Rigel Leader is in the English Channel heading for Panama with an ETA of 11/26. After that hopefully coming to CA with an ETA of 12/04. I have never been able to login into the Owners Lounge. Putting the VIN in the W W L tracking website did not work because the Rigel Leader is not part of their fleet. The Rigel Leader is the NYK-Line fleet. My MA isn't that good but she was the one that told me my car has an ETA 0f 12/04. After that I snooped on the internet and found the Rigel Leader arriving into Port Hueneme 12/04. Also for those that have never been able to login into the Owners Lounge I am told by MINI that they apparently are having issues with certain VIN numbers. The IT department is supposedly working on fixing the issue however since it has been 3+ weeks since my order was placed I do not have much confidence. Hope this helps those awaiting their MINIs.

Worthless Owners Lounge

The Owners Lounge was worthless for me. I found out more from the toll free Ask Mini number.

Bueno--could your car be on the Rigel?

I have the same problems as most of you. Ordered on 10/19, made a few changes over the phone in the next day and no luck tracking on OL. Then I learned that my production number that I had been tracking daily now suddenly belonged to someone else and I had a new (later date) production number, but not to worry cuz it would not result in a delay! Except that old production # is now sitting at port of exit about to be picked up on boat sailing out on nov 18, while my car finishes today, nov 16. Since I highly doubt it will make it to the port and on the vessel in 2 days, I'm looking at a ship date of dec 1 at the earliest, arriving at port hueneme on 12/26. With possible bad weather delays, Xmas, etc...I don't know how it will make it to me by 1/3 in time for the rebate. If it doesn't make it in time, .....!?!

Mersedeh, don't give up hope completely. Through sifting in other posts on this site, I have discovered that WW is not the only carrier that comes out to Port Hueneme that MINI uses. Go to this site: http://kis.dbh.de/index.php?id=577 and click on the "English Version" box. It should come up as the Bremerhaven departure port. Then type in "Port Hueneme" in the arrival port location, and click on "Start Search"

There are two other ships leaving before the 1st: Auriga Leader (NYK Line) leaving 11/23, arriving PH 12/19; and Palmela (United) leaving 11/26 arriving PH 12/20. You could make it on to one of them. I know for sure that MINI uses the NYK Line ships, but I don't know about United.

As far as I know, NYK and United's sites are not as comprehensive at WW's in terms of cargo tracking, so I would recommend checking with your MA the day after these ships sail to see if they can tell you if you made it on to either of them. If it has, your MA should be able to give you a ship name and ETA. Good luck!

Thanks, that's really encouraging! I will check it out and hope that I make it on one of those ships!

I call 866-ASK-MINI every day or two and either my car has been sitting in port for the last 10 days or it's not being updated.

I believe my car is headed to Port Hueneme as well, so hopefully it's on the aforementioned Rigel Leader.

Been over a week since I received the Production Number and I still can't enter the OL...too quick on the draw? No, they're too slow on the uptake (entering the data).

So, I Called Ask-MINI and interacted with the automated answer which gave me the evermore ambiguous SFP. I it only means they received my call and I have a valid PN.

My CM finally showed up on the WW tracking site today. It's on BESS which is due in Port Hueneme on 12/12.
