So unfortunately my baby JCW, 6 months old, is no longer. Her life was claimed in the Hurricane Sandy storm this past Monday.

My car only had a shade over 5,000 miles and I would like to manage to at least get these nice black 17" R112 JCW wheels on someone else's MINI and to not sit in a junk yard. The wheels DO NOT have a single scratch on them, no dents, nothing. They're in immaculate condition. Since the car is in the garage in somewhat darkness, since I have no power, I don't have the best photos but the wheels are in brand new shape. Attached I have a normal photo of the car, and how it sits now. The rubber on these tires is practically up to full life. They are run flats some of you may like that, most of you won't but nonetheless practically at full life.

The only catch I have is that I need to turn this car in with some sort of wheels, so I'm currently only willing to trade these wheels for your MINI wheels. I practically don't care what kinda wheels they are as long as they're from MINI. The value I'm looking for is depending on the condition of your wheels because clearly these wheels will have residual value over standard MINI wheels.

I do also have the carbon fiber rear diffuser that I'm going to pull off the car. That has been sitting on the car for the last 1,500 miles only. If you're interested in that as well let me know. That part runs $750, I'm looking for $495 for that part.

Lastly, should I choose to not buy another MINI Cooper I also have the DoS intake. That would go for $300. Regularly $400 with dry filter. The intake was just put on last month.

The car has H&R springs, but that would be a ***** to get rid of so I do have the stock ones if anyone needed for free.

Sorry to hear about this. I know how you feel because I have gone through a few hurricanes living here in Florida. Hope you get back up soon. It's to bad I am here cause I would love to get those wheels. Hope someone can help out local.

 

Thanks for reaching out man. I appreciate it. Sucks to have to deal with this but there are people out there with far more complications than I have. Most of my friends walked outta this with no harm and nothing lost. I lost my car, but other friends of mine lost half their homes. So it's tough but I'm happy this is all I have to deal with. Rogan, sorry for your loss but at least the good news its only just a car, they can always be replaced, be thankful that your family is safe, they can never be replaced. BTW, what neighborhood are you trying to get for the trade-up price, difference in cash?

 

Really sorry to hear about this. I live in Hoboken as well (9th and Jackson) and lost a car as well. Luckily the MINI was elsewhere, but I know the feeling. It's been a rough go around here lately. Fishing stuff out of the cars has been the worst, never thought something could smell so bad. We had an Acura RDX sit in 9 feet of water for 2 weeks.

Seats are toast gentlemen. As much as i would love to sell those, it's not worth it to me knowing someone is taking contaminated Recaro's. You'd have to rip that leather off, steam it for god knows how long, and then forget it, you'll never ever have it fully clean on the inside of the actual seat.

 

Thanks man, your words cannot be any more true. Family is safe although their town got struck really bad but in the end i lost scrap metal that can be replaced. Hey man...really sorry to hear about your loss. Not sure if you ever registered on mini USA but they sent me an email offering $750 off a new mini for those impacted by sandy..you just have to claim a total loss and have the car registered in a flood impacted area and be able to show proof of both. If 16 inch y spokes fit on that car I work in englewood cliffs and would be interested in the wheels depending on the price...however I doubt they would fit given the brake and caliper size.
