My loaded 2013 JCW, which I ordered back in August, is now making its way to my dealer. This is my first JCW... I've been working my way up I had a "just a Cooper" in 2005, then a Cooper S in 2008, and now, at last, the JCW.

Can't wait to drive it. Will it shift smoother/faster than my S (which has always seemed to have a somewhat touchy clutch)? Will those red-stitched leather seats be more comfortable than my current leatherette? Will the automatic headlights and automatic windshield wipers make a noticeable difference? And so much more...

If anyone has tips for a first-time JCW owner, pile on. I can't wait. I will post pics the day after I get the car.

congrats! I know how much it sucks to wait and it's THAT close!

I can't comment on the shifting or the seat comfort as I don't have an earlier model to compare it to, but the automatic headlights and windshield wipers are amazing! I NEVER touch the headlights, it just comes on when it needs to, and the windshield wipers....they're only automatic after you press a button to turn on the auto wiper function, so in that essence, it kinda sucks, but once it's initiated, it's awesome in that now I don't have to keep turning the wiper **** to adjust the wiper speed.

 

I am now told that it will be ready for me to pick up on Tuesday Nov 6th at noon. An election day JCW!
