CEL = three codes

Hi all -

First of all I apolgize if this is the wrong forum.

Anyway, two weeks ago I got the yellow CEL. Not the solid, but the outline. Checked the gas cap, looked fine, and went through a tank of gas. The light is still on.

Yesterday I ran for codes and three were thrown.

Any idea what's going on? O2 sensor is the obvious, however is there anything deeper? It's a 2008 Cooper S with 33k miles.

Much thanks!

P0130 - O2 Sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

P0130 - Before-catalyst oxygen sensor, electrical: Nernst-cell resistance or ceramic temperature implausible, wiring or heater fault

P2243 - O2 Sensor Reference Voltage Circuit Open (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

P0030 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

I was going to suggest checking for vacuum leaks but you don't have a "too lean" code relating to the catalyst. Signs still point to needing a new sensor.

Wow... about $200 for a new sensor, is that right?

Yep, it's the OEM wide-band oxygen sensor with build in heater element.
