No Audio Through Speaker With New Apple iOS6 Maps

I have the standard Y cable and a Cable Jive extension -- and can't find a way to hear the turn-by-turn audio from Apple's new map app, though things work fine with other apps. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

It should work, I get audio from Apple Maps using an iPhone 5 and the adaptor.

I assume you know, but just in case, the turn by turn audio only works if you have Siri, on the iPhone4S or iPhone5.

I have the 4S and I haven't gotten this to work yet either. Are there any settings on the phone I need to check? Does the radio need to be set to Bluetooth or USB audio source or can I listen to FM and have Siri interrupt the music when it's time to make a turn?

I used an iPhone 5 and it worked when I was streaming music through the system. It did not interrupt when using a different music source (FM/AM/Sat).

That's it, Mavic. Went to my Mini dealer today to find their iOS guru. He confirmed that at least on the Countryman, you can only hear the turn-by-turn directions through the car speaker when you have your playlist going and you select the iPhone under the CD portion of the main menu -- so no way to hear the directions when you're listening to radio, or have silence except for the directions. Thanks for the help, gang.

I got it working while listening to the iPod, but no joy with pandora. I recommend using the low voice volume setting
